Building on the medical expertise and French know-how, supported by university hospitals which are widely recognized internationally, France pursues an international health cooperation voluntarist policy to which university hospitals actively contribute, in accordance with article L.6134-1 of the French Public Health Code and at their initiative.
In line with these principles and the close relationships it maintains with its regional ecosystem, Tours University Hospital develops partnerships with other teams abroad in the health field and continuous education. It enables the sharing of experiences and best practices, and sometimes organises care arrangements between two countries.
